Michael Chertoff

Senior of counsel in Covington and Burling LLP and member of the White Collar Defense and Investigations practice group. He served as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. He also served periodically on the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council, and on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. He served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (2003-2005). Before becoming a federal judge, he was the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He has received numerous awards and two honorary doctorates.
