Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to France since 2012. Previously, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Europe and America (2011-2012), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Europe (2009-2011), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Education and Research (2008-2009). He was also Ambassador to Belgium, Italy and Malta. He started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981. He graduated from the University of Tehran and the University of Lille (France).
