Adam Glapiński

President of the National Bank of Poland since 2016. He is Professor of Economics in the field of political economy and history of economic thought. Lecturer of academic institutions, inter alia, at Warsaw School of Economics, at the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Missouri and the University of Kansas. Between 1991 and 2001, he held posts in public and government administration, among others, as Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Deputy to the Sejm and Senator, Republic of Poland. In 2009, he served as economic advisor to the President. He graduated from the Central School of Planning and Statistics (currently Warsaw School of Economics).
