Íñigo Fernández de Mesa is Chairman of Rothschild & Co Spain. He joined Rothschild & Co in 2017 from the Spanish Government where he was Secretary of State of Economy. Previously, he served as Head of Public Sector and Infrastructure of Lehman Brothers between 2007 and 2008, and as Managing Director of Barclays between 2008 and 2011. He is currently Vice President of CEOE, President of the CEOE Commission of Economy and Financial Policy, and President of the IEE (Economic Studies Institute). He is an independent member of the Scottish Power Board of Directors as well as a member of the International Advisory panel at Altamar. He has been a Government Accredited Trade Expert and Economist of Estate since 1992. Mr. Fernandez de Mesa holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
