Hisayoshi Ina

Foreign policy columnist at the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (The Nikkei Newspapers) in Tokyo. He received the Vaughan-Ueda Memorial Prize (Japanese version of the Pulitzer Prize) in 1998 for his outstanding news gathering and analysis in international affairs. His journalistic career includes four years in the Nikkei’s Washington, DC, bureau as chief political correspondent and, subsequently, as a fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University. He graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo.
