He served as Ambassador of Korea to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. He also held the position of Vice Minister for the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Secretary to the President for National Agenda, Senior Economist for the International Monetary Fund. He holds a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated from the Department of Business Administration at the Seoul National University.
