Former Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden. She was Party Chair of the Social Democratic Party (2007-2011) and Member of Parliament (2006-2011). She also served as of Minister for Sustainable Development, Energy, Housing (2004-2006), Minister of Justice (2002-2004), Minister of Industry (1998-2002), Minister of Labour (1990-1991). She held the position of Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party (1992-1994). She was Member of Parliament several times (1991-1992; 1982-1990).
