Nicholas Burns

Goodman Family Professor of Diplomacy and International Politics at Harvard Kennedy School.  He is also Director of the Future of Diplomacy Project, member of the Board of Directors of the School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and a Faculty Associate at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. He held the position of Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs (2005-2008). He was U.S. Ambassador to NATO (2001-2005) and to Greece (1997-2001). He graduated from Boston College and from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
